The Solomon Dubnick Gallery was originally created and implemented in approximately 16 hours and included the visual design, architecture and approximately 50 pages of gallery space.  I now update the site with new artists each month and it has grown to over 500 pages.  There are now over 50 different artists represented in the site, with each represented by a separate, customized sub-gallery.  While all the interfaces tend to be simple and streamlined, some have a more ascetic presentation while others are more organic depending on the individual spirit of each artist's work.

The project also contains a high degree of automation, allowing for the creation of new galleries and support of multiple layouts for different resolutions using server-side scripts in vc++ and perl.

For
Stone Griffin Gallery, the major distributor of Michael Parkes prints on the West Coast, a weblift of several dozen pages was accomplished in just under 16 hours.

In the Mussi-Artworks Foundry weblift, I was presented with the challenge of taking all the material on an existing site and reimplementing it in a manner that really captured the spirit of the organization.  While the original site was not bad, it did a poor job of reflecting the dynamism, excitement and friendliness of the Mussi foundry.  I felt that the best way to achieve this was to show the actual foundry and work itself, so I spent several days visiting them and taking photographs of the activities.  These photos, and a new, more stylish look, resulted in a site with a much more effective message.  The weblift and redesign was accomplished in 40 hours including photography time.

Alex Grey's Chapel of the Sacred Mirrors -- Gallery

The Alex Grey Sacred Mirrors project was a speculative weblift.  I felt that the work produced by the artist represented on the site was not being presented in a manner that did the work justice.  Alex Grey's art has a very strong spiritual presence and requires an evocative yet simple presentation for it to achieve maximum presence.  To achieve this I used a simple, but elegant layout with splashes of calligraphic lettering and a less crowded appearance.

This weblift  represents my first attempt to produce a website.  Again, the challenge was to take a previously existing site that was not up to snuff, and using the same elements, produce an effective site as quickly as possible.  The initial reimplementation took approximately 40 hours.

Though I didn't do the initial design, I was responsible for the site's implementation and execution.  It contains some really nice automation features.  For example, the entire gallery of 50 images is auto-generated via javaScript, making the addition of new galleries and images trivial.  The system also contains code to dynamically resize the screen, utilizing the same elements, when you are running in a lower resolution.

These simple, small sites were implemented in a matter of hours as a service to the local yoga community.  They consist of just enough information to provide a web-presence that contains the schedule, philosophy and reflects the approach of the teacher.

Kirin's Vanity Gallery

These galleries were set up for some friends of mine to allow them to show off their  work while traveling around the world.  Again, I created a customized look for each to help reflect the individual spirit of their work.
